This Privacy Policy describes how Saath Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account and build your profile, we collect:
- Contact information: phone number and name.
- Optional contact information: email address.
- Demographic information: date of birth, gender, nationality, religious background, and community/ethnicity.
- Physical attributes: height.
- Professional and education information: education level and profession.
- Location: precise geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) based on your device location.
- Profile content: photos, a profile song, and scene images or videos.
- Preference settings: age range, community, religion, height preferences, location preferences, marriage history, children, alcohol, and smoking preferences.
- Personality and compatibility information: responses to survey questions in our Personality Matrix.
- Communications: messages, audio messages, and other content you exchange with matches through our messaging system.
- Event and calendar information: events you create or interact with in-app, including scheduled audio calls, video calls, or in-person meetings.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version.
- Usage information: how you interact with the Services, including matches viewed, messages sent, and features used.
- Location data: precise GPS location when the app is in use, and coarse location when permitted in the background.
- Log data: IP address, timestamps, and error logs.
- Push notification tokens: required to deliver notifications to your device.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Authentication: we use Twilio to send one-time passcodes (OTP) to your phone number for authentication.
- Waitlist and CRM: if you join our waitlist on the landing page, your email is processed through Brevo.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and profile.
- Provide matchmaking and compatibility scoring.
- Enable messaging and communication between mutual matches.
- Provide our AI assistant (SAI) for guidance and support.
- Maintain safety and security, including automated content moderation and fake profile detection.
- Send you service-related notifications and push alerts.
- Analyze usage and improve the Services.
- Communicate with you about updates, features, and support.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
3.1 With Other Users
- Profile visibility: your profile information (excluding contact details like your phone number and email) is visible to other users in the Discover tab according to your preferences.
- Photos and media: your photos, song, and scenes are visible only to mutual matches.
- Messaging: messages and content you send are shared with the intended recipient.
3.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf:

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, Saath, or the public.
3.4 Business Transfers
If Saath is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are legally required to retain it longer.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- Update your information: edit your profile and preferences at any time in the Profile tab.
- Delete your account: contact us or use the in-app deletion option. Account deletion will remove your profile from other users' views and initiate the 90-day data removal process.
- Control location sharing: manage location permissions through your device settings.
- Opt out of marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
At this time, we do not offer a self-service data download feature.

6. Children's Privacy
Saath is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. This includes secure storage via Supabase and encryption in transit. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
8. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States. Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt out of certain uses and disclosures of your personal information.
